Dr. Park's program of research focuses on the secondary prevention of cardiovascular disease. Her current research projects center around determining the most engaging, practical, and meaningful technology-based interventions to improve patient self-care, clinical outcomes, and quality of life for patients with ischemic heart disease and heart failure. Dr. Park applies mixed quantitative / qualitative research methods in her research among patients with cardiovascular disease.

Dr. Park is also active in her clinical role as a nurse practitioner and works at a medical center for Cardiovascular Services. She holds an appointment as a Research Health Science Specialist at San Francisco Veterans Affairs Medical Center where she conducts work related to improving cardiovascular outcomes for Veterans.

She is deeply committed to mentorship and is the nursing director for the National Clinician Scholars Program at UCSF, one of six sites that include Yale, University of Pennsylvania, University of Michigan, Duke, and UCLA. In this 2-year fellowship program, nurse and physician scholars are immersed in a rigorous program of research, policy, and leadership training to serve as change agents to improve health, health care, and health equity.
